The flexible aerosol primer built for surfaces that move.
Most primers crack the moment the material flexes. SEAL Prime doesn't. It bonds to the surface, seals it in minutes, and stays fully flexible, so your paint job survives every bend, flex, and flex again. Two quick passes and you're ready to paint.
What SEAL Prime does
Foam absorbs paint. Flexible plastics reject it. TPU 3D prints crack it. SEAL Prime solves all three problems in the same can.
One coat seals the surface and kills absorption, giving you even paint coverage from the first pass. Two coats builds a smooth, semi-rigid shell that adds structural integrity without stiffening the material. More coats build durability and surface refinement. Throughout all of it, SEAL Prime stays flexible, following every curve and bend without splitting or flaking.
It also doubles as a primer, making surface imperfections visible so you can address them before paint goes on. There are no brush marks, no mixing, no drying between coats while you're still building up. Just spray, wait ten to twenty minutes, and continue.
Compatible surfaces
SEAL Prime was developed for foam and has been the trusted choice of prop makers, cosplay builders, and scenic artists for years. It also works across a wider range of flexible substrates, making it useful well beyond the foam bench.
EVA foam (all densities), Poly-Props Craft Foam, CF65 and CF100: direct application, no testing required.
TPU and TPE 3D printed parts: standard primers crack on flexible filament. SEAL Prime stays flexible through repeated flex cycles, making it the clean aerosol solution for finishing TPU prints without specialist equipment.
Flexible thermoplastics and soft PVC: bonds well to most flexible plastic sheet materials used in prop, costume, and scenic work. Test on a small area first with unfamiliar materials.
Latex and rubber: suitable for latex masks, rubber costume components, scenic props, and soft sculptural elements where a flexible, paintable surface is needed.
Not compatible with polystyrene.
How to apply
Shake the can thoroughly before starting. On the first press, hold the nozzle upside down and spray briefly to clear the valve before applying to your work.
Apply a thin first coat across the surface and allow it to dry, ten to twenty minutes in normal conditions. Follow with a second slightly heavier coat to fill any gaps and even out coverage. Build additional coats for a smoother, more durable finish. Each coat adds surface quality and protection.
Work in a well-ventilated space. Avoid direct sunlight for best results.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint directly over SEAL Prime?
Yes. Once each coat is dry, SEAL Prime accepts most water-based and solvent-based paints, including acrylics, HexFlex paints, and aerosol topcoats. For best results, allow the final coat of SEAL Prime to dry fully before painting.
How many coats do I need?
Two coats gives solid coverage and a good paint-ready surface. Three or more coats increases durability and surface smoothness. For TPU or flexible plastic parts that will take heavy handling, four coats is a sensible baseline.
Does SEAL Prime stay flexible when dry?
Yes. This is the core reason it exists. Standard hardware store primers and fillers cure rigid and crack when the substrate flexes. SEAL Prime remains pliable after curing, moving with the material rather than against it.
Will it work on my TPU 3D print?
SEAL Prime bonds to TPU and stays flexible, which standard filler primers do not. For TPU parts that need to flex in use, apply four light coats and allow each to dry fully before painting with a flexible acrylic. Always test on a small print first.
